About NASE

Who we are!

Federal and County employees working together to support each other and America’s farmers!!!

We are FSA support staff employees, non-supervisory employees located all across the United States actively working towards better, more efficient service to our customers. Originally formed in 1975 by support staff of Farmers Home Administration, the National Association of County Office Assistants and Clerks (NACOAC) has played an active and vital role in the development of program delivery. In 1996 the National Association of Support Employees (NASE) was created when Congress decided to re-organize the USDA agencies and form two new separate agencies: Rural Development and Farm Service Agency. Our membership is open to all non-supervisory Farm Service Agency employees, federal and county.

What we do!

  • Promote the betterment of the Farm Service Agency
  • Improve service to the public
  • Help improve our programs
  • Establish a cooperative relationship at all levels of the Agency
  • Help establish policies that best serve the public interest in accomplishing the mission of USDA and FSA
  • Improve support staff effectiveness
  • Improve morale, esprit-de-corps, and efficiency
  • Promote self-motivation, self-education, and career enhancement
  • Promote the social, economic, civic and personal welfare of support employees
  • Establish a cooperative relationship at all levels of the Agency
  • Assist and be supportive of the mutual concerns of all other FSA employee associations

How can we help you?

NASE gives you direct input in how you can do your job more effectively and efficiently, as well as how to give customers the professional service that they desire! Our Zone meetings and National Convention are attended by FSA National Office and Finance Office Staffs. There, you are the person who can do something about it!

With our Resolution Process, all of your ideas are given consideration, first at the Zone Meeting in your area, where they are reviewed, voted on, and sent to the National Convention. The resolutions at National Convention are voted on by the full membership attending. The successful resolutions from the National Convention are sent directly to the National Office or Finance Office for determining feasibility. In the past, NASE has seen many, many resolutions put into permanent practice! NASE sees countless resolutions put into permanent practice which improves service and enhances efficiency and performance.
